Thumbnails animation

Still building my photographic website, that has a load of thumbnails that then open the image full screen.

Probably trying to walk before I can crawl, but I want to animate the thumbnails so when I hover over one it will animate in some way i.e. glow, bounce (open to suggestions)

Is this getting into flash territory, or can this be done quite simply in Adobe Dreamscene?

You can do it fairly easily with JavaScript; have a look at jQuery.

dunno if this is any help to you but on the clicking and viewing full screen front I've been playing with slimbox2 with jQuery. neat litle piece of script and intergrates well into the site.

Just an idea.

You could do it using an animated gif.....

Create a DIV holder of some sort for each image, then set an animated gif as the background....

Assuming all thumbnails are the same size it should be easy enough...
