When I use support for a cheap computer product I generally expect to submit an e-mail, wait for a few days, then get told there's nothing they can do ...
Had a problem with a StarTech PCI-e parallel port expansion card and some software, so after a few hours found myself on the StarTech.com website and decided to click online chat. Chat started in under a minute, then after some discussion, the CS(US based) rep took my phone number, called me and talked me through a remote desktop session to try and solve the issue. When that failed they decided to test the product in their lab and contact me the next day.
As it turned out I managed to get the crusty old software working with the StarTech card in the end, but I was really impressed with the customer service I received considering I hadn't purchased a premium product.
