Hi all,

Looking for a alternative (free) mail client for work that will work with our MS Exchange, Thunderbird seems to but it isn't very clear how you set it up??

Anyone done this and can point me in the right direction?

I have already replaced MS Office with Open Office but the lack of Outlook is a problem.

Thanks,

what's the point of having an exchange server without using outlook. crazy i tell thee. sure you can use just about any pop3/imap client to connect to an exchange server, or even just use a web browser to connect to outlook web access.

but all the functionality that you get with exchange server is lost. what a waste of money?

Much as it pains me to say it, Outlook is pretty good for dealing with Exchange servers (as you'd expect) with the calendar, global address book, tasks, notes etc etc etc...

TBH, I'd keep it if you can.
