i really want to like thunderbird (dragging my arse over from outlook) but there are still a few really annoying things it does and i was wondering if anyone know how to get around em?

• replying: when replying to a message it doesnt use the standard font (selectable in the options) but a dirty serif font, then to make matters worse it puts the reply at the bottom of the email where no one will see it!?!

• syncronisation: any way to get it to talk to my motorola maxx v6?

there are more bit if i put too many they wont get replys so could people help me out with the above?

The reply bit can be changed by going to Tools>Account settings. Go to the relevant email account's Composition and Address section. In the Composition section there are two options here. You presumably have the "Automatically quote the original message when replying" box checked so change the drop-down box there to "Then, start my reply above the quote".

For the font when replying, all you need to do is goto Tools>Options>Composition and look at the General tab. Under the HTML heading, change the font from variable width to the font you want. I presume there is a Plain text section underneath as well but the Windows theme I use seems to make everything bigger so I can't see this bit.

Thunderbird lets you send emails in either HTML or plain text. So you may have changed the font for HTML but not for plain text and you were replying to a plain text email OR the person you were replying to is set, in your Address Book, to prefer either HTML emails OR plain text emails.

As for the synchronising with the phones, I don't know anything about this. Someone else asked this a few weeks/days ago and I couldn't find anything to help.

So that lot sorted? Any other questions?
