thunderbolt nightmare...

Hi,

I'm trying to connect a Blackmagic Hyperdeck Studio pro to my PC motherboard.

I've got a ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme motherboard, does anyone know if the ASUS plug in Thunderbolt 2 card will work with it?

I'm beginning to wish I've bought a Mac...

Where's the nightmare here? You bought a motherboard thinking it had thunderbolt built-in but it needs an expansion card?

Buy the plug in card, job done, not even close to a nightmare.

The list on the ASus website doesn't include my Board, but it does have a thunderbolt header.

So I ignored the compatible motherboard list and ordered the thunderbolt card.......and it works!!
