Thunderbolt to standard DVI monitor?

So, do I need a special TB adapter to connect my MBA to a regular, non-thousand-pound monitor? (as much as i'd like one)

Just a standard mini displayport -> DVI should suffice, don't think it needs to be a 'special' TB one.

Yep, I'm almost certain you can. Also, if you do go ahead and buy one, do yourself a favour and don't buy it from Apple. You can get it much cheaper from OcUK

I have one, use it on my Macbook Pro (2010 i7, so no thunderbolt).
