Hello,

I'm on Z5500's atm and I'm just wondering, is it possible to get wall shaking bass like the vids on youtube show, eg. the 4x 18'' BTL vids ? Well not that extreme but you know, something louder & more voilent than my current speakers ? How much would I need to pay? Thousands I guess? But would for example, 2k euros ( not that I have that money, perhaps in a year, or 2) buy something nice ?

Why do you want more bass? Too much spoils music as its too overpowering, unless you like that sort of stuff.

I like that, I want to feel window breaking bass :).

Because the Z5500's pretty much barely give any extra bass once you're over 65% of the max volume :(.

Or want to annoy his neighbours which seems to be the case as the sub on the z5500 is plenty for me and Im a DnB dj :p

My neighbor doesn't mind and also blasts music himself.

Edit: note that I'm just interested, not yet planning to do anything, I'm too poor for that :p, but I'm wondering what are the costs involved if you'd want to shake up everything, or even if it's realistic.

I know! :D I have a separate 100w sub and I have to turn it down as its far too loud for me when I have my music on :p I prefer music to sound clear rather than a thumping bass, but I’m not the OP :D Sorry I cannot recommend a setup, but for £2k you can some cracking subs though :D

In that case it may be worth you heading over to the hi-fi section and speccing up a separate system there as I think that would be the only way of you achieving this.

It depends on the music, about 70% of the time I listen to rock, so don't need bass really. But I also listen more and more to electronic and also a lot of hip-hop recently, on that type of music I just want more more and more bass :D.

Do you think they'd give a demo to a 17 year old that looks like a 15 year old :( ?

how much do you want? If you push the z5500's they can move stuff around (stuff on my desk used to go crazy)

Go for boost 11, or boost 22 :P

you'll need big subwoofers and a faqir amount of power for them, if you really wanted to do that. youd have to be achieving what...125db and more which wouldnt come too cheapily...lol - its far easier to produce that sort of spl in a smaller space like a car interior than it is a living room or bedroom.

.....and the z5500's wouldnt come close to that.

A couple of Eurolive Professional B1520 Pro units and a couple EuroPower EP2500 in bridge mode with one of their equalizer will do the job.

One of these maybe :)
