Thunderstorms

This thunderstorm is pathetic.

The rain is minimal, lightning and thunder is infrequent and by the looks of it, it will be over before lunch time !

UK will never have longer than 20 minutes of thunderstorms in the last 9 years now. The best storm is severe electric storms back in 2004 and lasted all night, the best one. Since then, it all crappy not much!

Overall, I love the USA lightning, one of the fearsome! UK never get biggest storms than USA. I am sick of tired of newspaper, weather forecasters kept saying severe or heavy thunderstorms! Get real!

Yep, I think it lack of lightning in UK now. Some say it will get more thunderstorms in UK because of climate change (I don't believe any of it) The best storms had to be in USA, Africa and Australia.

More thunderstorms is heading UK from south of Spain and France next month. The storms could be a biggest one than today because of largest cell across Spain & France next month with hot humid air pushing upward while UK coolest air pushing southward from North of UK.

I hear what you're saying :D, but sometimes i have just heard distant thunder and not seen any lightning, so some might say "i hear thunder", lol.

The forecaster always got it wrong kept saying "Thunder", "Storm", "Thundery Rain", "Thundery Showers", and even "Thundery Downpours". :D

WARNING: Widespread of heavy thundery rain with thunderstorms for many of England and Wales this Saturday & Sunday. Could be flash flooding, mini tornado, hailstones, lightning and heavy burst of rain.

There is a report of big cell over France now! Really bad! Hope everyones in France is ok and not too serious with a nasty voilent thunderstorms. I expecting the large of big cell will degraded once it move over to uk tomorrow.

Thunderstorms will threaten to unleash blinding downpours, severe winds and hail across a large swath of Europe Saturday and Sunday.

Paris will be at risk of powerful thunderstorms on Saturday into Saturday night, as will a wide belt reaching from southwestern and central France north into Belgium and the Netherlands. Watch live from Paris for lightning: http://www.earthcam.com/france/paris/?cam=eiffeltower_hd

The worst of these storms will have potential to damage property.

London could also get thunder and lightning as rain breaks out over much of England Saturday and Saturday. However, severe storms are not expected.

The trigger of the thunderstorm outbreak will be a cold front from the Atlantic Ocean that will dislodge a mass of hot air originating in northwestern Africa.

Berlin, Germany, is forecast to reach 37.8 degrees C (100 degrees F) Sunday; this will be the first time that it will be this warm since the summer of 2010.

Sunday, the threat area will shift eastward along with the cold front, spanning much of Germany into eastern France and Switzerland. Strong, gusty thunderstorms could reach Berlin by Sunday evening. Hamburg live cam: http://www.earthcam.com/world/germany/hamburg/
