Looks good, I just hate the idea of using infantry as squads.

Looks good, but my fear is that they will not be different enough, for example they might just be nod with a new coat of paint.
I think what EA are trying to do hear is make it a bit like red alert 2 Yuri’s revenge and starcraft and have 3 very different armies to choose from for multi player.

3 armies didn't really work in Yuri's revenge, most online games just banned Yuri because he could mind control. No much point playing a side whose main assest isn't allowed.
It was abit like that playing as the soviets, most games were no rush, which made it pointless playing soviets as they are designed to rush, they got killed by alliance in the late game
I hate with a passion all the stupid rules that people make when playing online games. All tactics and units should always be allowed. If you can't beat someone, then get your own skills up rather than make stupid rules because you can only win when someone attacks you at a time you have agreed with units you have allowed. /rant over.
