tiberiun sun/laptop/problem

I bought a cheapish laptop a few months ago to use for doing my cv and using for my mp3s.The laptop is a HP omnibook xe4100.The specs are

1.2 celeron
512mb ram
30gb hdd
dvd drive

I thought i would see if it could play C&C Tiberiun sun,the game installed fine ect ,but the when i play the game the game screen is a small square in the middle of the screen.The game screen size is around 6 inches square,I have tryed all the screen resolution settings in the game but still its only a small screen.Anyone know what could be causing this?

This may sound stupid but have you accidentally set it in 'windowed' mode? Try pressing Alt + Enter to see if it will switch to full screen, also check the properties of the .exe file as they occasionally have such settings. Have you tried running any other games to see if the same problem occurs?

no its not because of that, it will be because your laptop is doing 1:1 pixel mapping, not sure how you can get around that, unless you set the res to the native res of your laptop
