Bought 2 tickets off Ebay for Counting Crows for tomorrow. They are Ticketmaster e-tickets (pdf), and both have the guy's name on them.
Is that going to be a problem? I'm not a regualar gig goer, so don't know. Ticketmaster's lines are closed and I cannot email them unless I am the original buyer.
Ticket says this:
3. Unlawful resale or attempted unlawful resale of a ticket is grounds for seizure or cancellation of that ticket without refund or other compensation.
(This is TM's general policy which says exactly the same thing: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/legal/purchase.html)
TM FAQ:
So, nowhere does it mention concert tickets cannot be resold, only some football tickets. Or should I start thinking of an excuse like he couldn't make it in the end so it's just me? (i.e. I only paid for the value of 1 ticket so the other ticket isn't going to be used anyway). Do they usually ask proof of identity, card paid with, or anything like that?

TM FAQ:
Are there any legal issues surrounding reselling tickets?
In the UK, it is illegal to resell tickets for designated football matches without authorisation of the club, so you will not find those tickets available on GET ME IN! without authorisation.
The UK government has recently investigated this issue and it has called upon the events and ticketing industry to offer its own solution. The government also concluded that a well-functioning and honest resale and exchange market has clear benefits for consumers.
