Ticket Touts

Since all the filty ticket touts somehow got loads of Arctic Monkey tickets i am thinking about buying one from them for the gig in newcastle. Does anyone have any idea how much these will go for outside the venue :confused:

Heard people saying over £100 :eek:

It was that much at the start of the 'hype' I'm sure it could be just as much now. Save your money, from what I read, the Arctic Monkeys live experience leaves much to be desired. Alex Turner's a bit of a tool towards the audience it seems, and doesn't quite pull it off a la Liam Gallagher

Im going to see them at T In the Park, just i wanted to go at Newcastle, bit more intermit and its 3 days before my bday

Argh, I'd kill to go to T in the Park! It would be more intimate you're right, I'd love to see them too, even with the things I've read, I'd see them for double face value maybe, but I don't think they're worth anything like £100 imo!

I know, my mate is trying to get T In The Park tickets, he is the only one who missed out. eBay should cut down on the ticket touts like.

For me, there's 3 ways to stop touts

1) ID on tickets like Glasto tickets
or
2) Make it illegal to sell tickets on for more than the value printed on them
or
3) People just STOP buying from touts

It's all about supply and demend though.

When the Strokes added an extra date on Jan 30th in Manchester I was talking to one of the touts outside the gig while in the queue he said he can't get much more than face value for them. So unless everyone starts using bigger venues (which I don't like personally) or extra dates, it's going to stay the same.

I haven't got much of an issue with them personally. I seem to always get tickets which I try for at face value and I do nothing special. If there's something I really want to see then I'll pay for it, no biggy.

you have to get the tickets for the right gigs though e.g. i bought a load of tickets for coldplays last show in london on the twisted logic tour, couldnt shift em at a good price for some reason, but the spare ticket i had for embrace's outdoor show in leeds sold for a good price. Works the other way round as well, just bought 2 tickets to see corrinne bailey ray in leeds for a lot more than they are actually worth!
