Inspired by other beautifully tidy cases i decided it was time to tackle my insanely case  I have a bit more of a challenge than most people (apart from shuttles etc.) as i've just changed from a Lian-Li PC-7 to a PC-V600 ( <3 ) Even though i think the case is fantastic its been a massive downsize :( Unfortunately I don't have any before pics but here is the result

Any suggestions for improvements? Constructive critisism only please

That looks messy :p

Problem is that the PSU cables just can't be hidden, nore can the IDE ones. :(

As for the Sata yellow ones, you could turn the HDDs around and so have the cables running along the back side of the case out of the way/sight.

There's not enough room at the back :( I did think of that before it just wont fit lol When i get the cash i'll get some SATA DVD drives so that'll sort out the IDE cable (which is WAY to big as i bought it for my previous case) :p When i get my eDead i'll have another go at tidying... there's just nowhere to run the cables lol

EDIT: On a plus note I don't have a window in my side panel :p

I have the PC7, and just can't seem to tidy my cables...but I have all my drivebays full, all my HDD bays full, all my PCI slots full...

Only have 2 DVD drives, but also have an Akasa AllInOne unit, so cables on that, and a Creative Audigy 2 with front box thing...so more cables.

Oh yeh, and I have a few fans too...I get upset when I try to cable tidy :p

That actually looks neater than my similar G50! But then I have a fan controller and other gubbins crammed in there too.

As its been said, the position of the power supply doesnt help make things look tidy, but you might want to try running some of those cables from it down to the base then accross and up instead of going straight accross like you have it now.

That IDE cable looks a little long, maybe you could look into getting a shorter one if possible, and also i'd coil it and the front pannel connectors out of sight behind the optical drive mountings.

Just out of interest, what cooler are you using for your CPU in the limited space?

PK!

This might be me being a nab, but isn't that PSu meant to be inverted?

If you can, you can try running the psu cables along the side of the case.

Also try wrapping the sata cables under the hd cage and run them parallel to the drive bays, and then finally across to the mobo.

Dunno if those ^ suggestions will work, but you can try :p

If you turn it around, you'll have the fan on the PSU pulling air in the opposite direction to the CPU fan, and those two fighting against each other would lead to some pretty rubbish air flow. Mounted as it is now, it will draw cold air in from outside the case keeping it nicely chilled.

PK!

Right here is my revised tidy lol

Next job is to run those 2 power cables down with the rest... only thought of that when i just looked at the pics  I will get a smaller IDE cable at some point or get SATA drives lol As for cpu cooler i'm back to my intel stock cooler  My AC Freezer Pro 7 wouldn't fit  I'm looking into a low profile Zalman or Thermaltake, any suggestions would be great :P

Yeh your right, I initially mounted it the wrong way in my haste but soon realised it was wrong lol Also theres an air vent in the side panel :)

Ohh right, didn't know the side panel was ventilated.

I thought the fan was facing a metal side panel lol.

Hmm not sure what else you can do tbh.

isnt it possible to move the hard drive rack other other way?

It's positioned off centre so i backs onto the back of the case with not enough room for the connectors :( I could probably take it off and redo the rivets... if I had the know how or the means to do so :P

Hmmm... leave it then.. unless they is holes in the side bend it under there throw the hole?

What about taking the CPU fan off (if it comes off) and rotating it so the fan cable is facing the PSU, then you could hide that bundle of excess under the PSU?
