Tier of Nvidia GPU release

Probably. I had one.

Think I ended up with a Voodoo card after that.

No it wasnt a Matrox card, pretty sure of that.

Thinking about it, it could have been a Diamond Multimedia card, that sort of rings a bell and they did a few 8mb/16mb cards around that time. I reckon it was that or one of the Savage S3/S4 models.

Yup doing more research the Radeon 9000 pro was released mid 2002, 9800 pro was release late 2003 and I remember having both of those - not necessarily upon release of course.

So I guess the dates do sort of match for the savage S3.
9800 pro was a amazing card. even after 6 or 7 years it was still doing really well in games.

It wasn't bad.

The one I replaced it with (I think) was a Sapphire Radeon X1800XT that thing was a beast, and there was a higher tier card also.

Had that for years and donated it to a mate who used it for years after that.

Card had really cool artwork on it as well.
