This is the latest addidtion to the stable, purchased on a whim, totally eyes closed and am now thinking....hmmm
Does anyone know what the 4 rotary switches are here? (im guessing the first is Amps, slope (what the hell is that for!), torch (arc/tig?) and lastly tig torch or foot switch?

Then the data plate on the back and whats with the 2 different torch's on the middle L/H side? (again is this tig / arc?)

Also - can you ID this connector? used for both positive and negative leads?

It did come with a foot control though :D

"Only" thing I need to get is a gas pipe / bottle for the back and a torch/cable for the positive side....which im guessing will prove interesting to track down as a) its old and b)it appears to be from Norway (though I 'think' I may have found an American/UK site that bought out the company)

Thanks for any help

BOC are where we go, as for the knobs not a clue- im guessing they will be imprtant when welding (especially thinner ally). 2nd in from right is deffo arc/tig.
The info plate (from my physics knowledge) is telling you that it is a transformer rectifier, and and the power it will use at different voltages. The two torches im guessing are tig and arc.
(sorry though, your still no closer to working out how to use it seing as i have no clue about the knobs as im only a mere mig welder (s00n to be gas :D )).

mig-welding.co.uk is your best bet. It covers all types of welding not just mig and some of the guys also fix welding sets and supply parts. :)

Cheers, will stick a post over there :D

that's a standard connector for a welder,

Eng Weld website

Have used them in the past when I worked at the mine, good kit.

Thanks for the info - at least I can still get bits for it...been 17 years since I last tigged, should be...interesting!!
