The title is like a headline from the Sun, or similar rag.
The only good thing is how competitive the mobile market is getting. Hopefully AMD can sort out supply, and get into the higher tier laptops.
Intel being given a prod is good too. The latest IGP seems great.

This is one of the worst threads I've seen in a while. Tigerlake, far from having 'huge' IPC gains, actually has on average LESS IPC than Ice Lake. It's a terrible release

How do you get that? In single thread Spec tests it is trading blows with 10900K, being 4.8 vs 5.2-5.3GHz

So about 10% IPC increase is there

The Tigerlake CPU isn't as good as it was hyped up to be.

Xe graphics look good though

If you look at the AT testing TGL is using much more power at peak.

Graphics progress does look promising but otherwise it seems pretty meh for actual workloads.
