Single player can be very very repetative as you choose a 'home course' this time around. In the 1st 2 years of season mode and nearly all your matches are here
The mode where you play golfers from the past is gimmicky at best and hugely flawed imo. Little things bug me about it. Sawgrass was opened in the mid 80's I think and you get sent back to the 1920's to play there....
Again the first challenge you have is returning to the past and playing Tom Morris. No real problem there although the time travel is questionable . It's the fact you go to St.Andrews in the late 1800's and the Old Course Hotel is still there
The putting model feels a fair bit better however and there is much more control over all of your shots come to think of it. However there is a downside. The courses. Although very pretty the course list pales next to 2004's lineup imo. You can install the 2004 courses to the 2006 game however so it's not all bad.
Run out of thoughts now....bit jumbled as well as I'm mightly distracted by the video playing on my PC
I think its a great game, im running it on a standard x800 and its pretty good.
Like the person above, the single lplayer mode, especially at the start, is boring as you are constantly playing on your home course but once your up and running on the PGA tour, its great
BTW people, if anyone seed this, whats your best score on the greek isles?
it really is a mother of a course, berst ive had is -2 or something!
anyway, i thoroughly reccomend it, great game imo.
