In an attempt to prise myself away from WOW, i decided to slow things down a little and knock off the odd round. Prior to installing TW07, i had a couple of small software issues that were thankfully sorted by the good people on these forums:-) I installed TW07 and was notified that i was missing a DLL file, i duly d/l it and tried again to no avail, so i uninstalled the game then re-installed. All the menus and options were available but i could not select a round, the course was not initialized. My pc then decided to die. after a couple of attempts to get things running, i gave up and un installed yet again, but the pc was now running so badly, that even logging into wow, the graphics couldn't handle the sign in screen. Sometime later......my pc is now running fine once more, but i am not keen on trying TW07 again. I know a lot of people have complained about how buggy it is, i just wondered if other people on here had had the same problem, and any suggestions on the best course of action. Not sure if i should have posted this in the software forum? cheers.

I play TW07 a lot with no problems at all ... infact the '07 version seems faster than '06.
I have a humble P4 3.2 Northy - 2gig ram - ATI X800XT-PE

My friend runs a similar spec pc but with an nVidia card and he had lots of trouble ... interface screen not loading .. crashes to desktop or even the game just not loading.
He tried numerous drivers and finally re-installed DX 9.0C and then everything worked fine.

Another friend has a faster set-up than mine AMD and Ultra nVidia card and like me has not had a single problem.

It looks like TW07 can be very buggy on some systems, and from what i've read on some TW forums it very difficult to tie done what the problem is.
Add to this the fact that EA recently announced that they will NOT be releasing a UK patch ... only the US game was patched. :(

Good luck with your tests ... hope you get it sorted.
