Tiger Woods 09

Mine bounced once, hit the flag and went in, it was an awesome feeling.

That wasn't my best shot thou, best one was actually a little chip i did from the rough towards the green, the ball was so accurate it landed straight into the hole without hitting the flag or touching the grass. Made a great noise when it plonked straight in. :D
 
Call Riveria 14, forgot the course. Its on Live under my name raymondlin, par 3 hole. Look for a character that is a 6ft tall blonde with big knockers :p
 
Got this for 360 from LoveFilm at the moment and I am tempted to buy it now. I am really enojying it.

I am finding it frustrating at times though. My short game is very random, sometimes I aim around the hole and it comes up short (way short) and other times I over hit it. Saying that I am getting better, and after many attempts I finally got my first shot in from quite a distance (not a hole in one as it was a par 4/5). Double Eagle :)

Then a few holes later I got another one :)

Im guessing it might be on the Riveria CC course ;)

The new course would be a purchase for me if it wasnt such a rip off. Over £5 for a new course?!
 
I used the online widget from EaSportsWorld.com to put my face in the game last night, as I don't have the live vision camera. It worked pretty well but took a fair while to get right.

It has made a better looking version of me :p

At times, especially from the side, it can really look like me, and when I have sun glasses on the character (as it didn't get my eyes right) it looks much more like me. If I could be bothered to do some tweaking I could probably get it pretty accurate.
 
aye, the game face thing is brilliant my character looks exactly like me. He doesn't play like me though thank god.
 
I can't get the game face to work :(

I am loving this game though, it can be so infuriating at times and others it is sheer brilliance.
 
I was sooooooo close to my first hole in one the other day. I am enjoying the game much more now that my character is a bit better.

I kind of feel like I am cheating as I am not doing it on Tour Pro difficulty. But having levelled my character up I don't want to ruin all my stats because I find putting on Tour Pro pretty much impossible without the put preview.

I just remembered I have about £80 worth of vouchers to use at an exchange shop so I think I will go and pick this up and send the rental back to LoveFilm. I can see me playing this quite a lot more :)

If you play on normal settings through the tour you'll be able to read greens no problem, ive been playing it nonstop on the ps3 but ive got more friends playing it on 360 so ive bought the 360 version, should be arriving tomorrow.

Add me on XBL when you get it we can play a few online games (its great fun) :)

Should maybe see about setting up a little ocuk golfers club! Have some mini tourneys etc, would be good craic!

I have a quick question.

I used to play Tiger Woods 06 on the PC, and there was a great feature online, which were online tournaments. You join them, and you have a certain start and end time for each round, and you just have to make sure you play your round between those times. At the end, the best player won. Hundreds of people could enter because you play on your own, and it just takes your score from the end of the round.

Can you do this on this game?

exactly why I won't be buying it. A golf game should never be that easy, given that golf is one of the hardest sports to play I can't believe how easy EA have made the tiger woods series, I tried the demo, completely mis-timed a drive and still managed to hit an almost perfect drive!

I understand that EA are trying to appeal to a wider audience by dumbing the game down a bit but this is ridiculous !

You where playing on novice level most likely, it corrects all your shots to about 95%

Play it on pro with winds that hook your ball, no correction and no putt preview, then it wont be as easy.

Are you talking about the daily challenges?

It's similar to what your saying, you play a round on a specific course and then the best score overall wins etc, there's actually loads of game modes i haven't even had a chance to try yet, just from non stop playing my pga tour career.

I'll accept your invite when i get home from work this evening, looking forward to showing you up in game! :D
 
Almost had a hole in one myself the other night on pebble beech (not sure which hole).
It landed past the pin and spun back, just kissing theedge of the hole.

I've had an albatross, but in this game it's called a double eagle for some reason :confused:
My golfer is called 'Albert Ross' so it's only natural that par 5s are sunk in 2 :D
