What's best real world performance with regards to either tighter timings or a higher bus speed for my systems memory in sig below?

I can either go for 1000mhz 5.5.5.15 2T or 800mhz 4.4.4.12 2T or tighter if i give it a bit more than recommended volts.

They are 2X1Gb sticks PC6400.

There'll be very little diffference in real world apps.

Run a 32mb Super-Pi run at both settings if you need to see a difference.

If they are D9s and you care about long term reliability then stick to 2.1 volts, that should get you atleast 900MHz and possibly 950-960 depending how good your memory is on 4-4-4-12 or 4-4-4-15... if you don't care about long term - give em 2.2-2.3v and see if you can hit 1000 on 4-4-4-15 timings but don't be suprised if you have to replace them after around 18 months (or less if you get unlucky). Active cooling won't make much odds on life span at this voltage, but if you go above 2.3 without active cooling your probably looking at a few months life span.
