Hey guys
Im running 16gb of Hyper X Fury 1866 RAM in my system.
On stock CPU clocks, i could run the RAM at 2100mhz fully stable and fine, But now that my CPU is overclocked, and running at 4.9ghz on AIO water cooler, I cannot increase RAM speeds at all.. anything above stock 1866mhz, it fails to boot...
So, if i can, id like to find out why, and how to manage to overclock it to 2100mhz again..
if not, then tightening my timings would be good. As i read that, tighter timings can make your ram faster than just bumping up the Mhz..
Im running an Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 motherboard,
and in BIOS, i have these:
Under DRAM Timing Control::::
DRAM CAS
DRAM RAS to CAS Delay
DRAM RAS PRE Time
DRAM RAS ACT Time
DRAM READ to PRE Time
DRAM RAS to RAS Delay
DRAM WRITE to READ Delay
DRAM CAS Write Latency
DRAM WRITE Recovery Time
DRAM REF Cycle Time
DRAM Row Cycle Time
DRAM READ to WRITE Delay
DRAM WRITE to READ Delay
DRAM Write to Write Timing
DRAM Read to Read Timing
DRAM Refresh Rate
DRAM Command Rate
now which of these is the actual RAM timings to adjust?
my RAM is 10-10-10-30
Thanks
