Hi guys, I've got a quick question about tightening 90 degree monsoon rotary bends. Do I just them up hand tight or do they need a nip up with some mole grips.. It's just i don't want to damage the finish on them as they look really nice :-)

i scratched one during the build and its a real shame :(

its barely noticeable but......... i can see it

they are probably ok by hand but I just like that 1/4 to 1/8rh more just in case. maybe its not needed but I couldn't handle a leak trashing 2 gpu's and psu

use silicone grease or spray on the rubber o-ring then you will only need to do hand tight. Nipping is not really a good idea as you "may" crush the o-ring. With the use of silicone grease it will aid in closing off the fittings and stopping the O-ring from bunching up which happens now and then with dry O-rings (its rare but does happen).
