Tigra coolant leak?

Someone at my work has an R reg Tigra (bad starting point i know) and it seems to be leaking quite a lot of coolant requiring frequent top ups.

is there a likely cause, i.e simple bad seal or things that need replacing like waterpump + actuator or whatever.

the car has overheated a couple of times too which cannot be good for it.

any friendly advice would be nice and ill pass it on,

Sounds like the radiator !
The only link between the expansion tank ( where you top up the water ) and the raditor is a rubber pipe which feeds in to the top of the rad.
The other possible's are on the cooling system pipes from the rad to the engine.
So check those seals, and pipes to eliminate that possible cause.

hm that doesnt sound too dear if its just the pipe?

the intake rubber hosing had split and had been into the garage for that only a week or 3 ago. i checked the error code and it was an Evap issue. unfortunately i couldnt remove the code with my hand scanner its like vauxhall had locked the ecu so u can read but not erase.
