Boiled potatoes, with some mayonnaise added.

Sardines had a bit of pepper and chili powder thrown on them, bunged in the oven for 5 mins then thrown on top.

Not a nice meal, but needs must.

theres a bit of pasta on the hob you could have thrown in! :p

Ate that whilst cooking.

Who'd have thought looking at a food thread whilst eating my dinner would make me want to hurl and not just because of the state of the hob...

It really is a foul meal. However it's somewhat edible (Save for the juices at the bottom of the pan), and the sardines have a nice kick to them.

Once my student loan is in, I'll cook better stuff. Promise. :p

When was the last time you cleaned your kitchen?

A bit of time ago.

Thats disgusting, clean your kitchen

No, its a shared place, so shared responsibilities. My name isn't Jose.

Has anyone cleaned since the last load of pictures you posted, which included fried beans and cutting onions using a leaflet as a chopping board?

Nope. we've thrown away the worst of the bins once we run out of space, but it certainly could do with a clean.

Anyway, got through most of the dinner. The rest was the juices of the sardines, mixed with mayonnaise and soft bits of potato.

Lol that hob isn't even as bad as ours but i outright refuse to be the only person to ever clean it so it's staying like it is.

Meal looks rank though :p

I hear ya dude.

You'd be wise to budget that student loan so you don't need to eat something like that again.

Are you kidding me? I'm cutting back on alcohol*, just to make sure I never have to eat like this again.

*just kidding, but I will be buying sensible, tasty food. Got to bulk up for the gym y0.

For the same money could you not have had a baked potato, instead of little ones cut up, with a tin of tuna instead of sardines? Mix the tuna with the mayo, put in baked potato, and Bob's your uncle?

I didn't buy this food, it's only what I have left. I've got til friday to carry this on. Believe me I know what to buy, once I have the cash.

Ah, I misunderstood the dilemma you were facing.

No problem. I promise I don't usually eat this bad. I've got some value peanut butter somewhere, so might have to borrow a loaf of bread tomorrow, so I can eat peanut butter toast and sardines on toast in the evening.

On Friday I'm going to be like Raymond K Hessell.

Not really; I'd wager the majority of people would realise when something is disgusting and needs a clean.

There's a huge difference between a messy student home and a filthy sty of grott!

Not when there are loads of first year immature dudes who don't really give a ****.

Either way, tomorrow after lectures, I'll sink 30-45mins into giving it a clean.

I'd rather starve tbh

Go for it. I'd rather live.

The student loan isn't going to save you. You'll just squander it like all the others do (beer, clothes, xbox, music etc), then continue eating this kind of rubbish on the pennies you have left over.

Sorry for the negativity, but I've always hated 'student culture' and the blatant indulgence many think should come with it.

Enjoy your potatoes.

I don't buy music, my clothes are not new (charity shopped for the past year, my shoes were purchased for £30 two years ago), don't have an xbox and have reduced my beer consumption.

Stereotypes are not always true. ;)
