Recently moved into a new house, and the current fireplace is not at all to my taste.
Now before I spend loads of cash ripping it all out and changing it we thought we'd give painting it a try.
Will still probably end up changing it in the future, but for now I'd much rather put the money towards the kitchen and garage conversion.
The Mrs has started painting the wooden surround in an off white, which already looks 100x better (hate cherrywood with a passion!).
But now the floral tiles just don't look right at all. So what I'm wanting to do is paint them all black.
Does anyone know of any decent tile paint that's suitable for a hearth? Will any tile paint do? Will I need to give them a sand down first or can I just paint directly onto the ceramic?
