Tiling bathroom

Going out on the works ****** this afternoon so no sober for me today :D
I only get this/that plastered once a year but it is sort of expected.I usually skip every other round unlike the majority of my mates who will be having at least a gallon maybe 2 for some
Wish me luck;)

Good luck dude.

Everyone is different, and I thankfully got the worse end of the drinking spectrum out of my system by my early twenties. I think never liking beer has helped massively, and never caving in to peer-pressure in terms of not drinking enough/quickly enough/etc.

Now I am much more controlled and conscious when drinking, so even though it was a 12 hour session with work people from 11am yesterday, I made sure not to mix my drinks, and constantly had waters inbetween every drink. No hangover this morning, awesome day/night with loads of laughs.

Well done, keep at it and you will reap the rewards.

After many, many years of drinking I gave it up as well. Life changing for me as it opened up a new outlook on life and changed my approach to many things. I've emerged as someone I knew many moons ago and life has just been great since.

Oh and you don't need an alcoholic drink in your hand to socialise. The first time out with friends, to the pub and restaurant are just milestones along the way. Just get through Christmas, the New Year and the rest will be plain sailing.

Ahhh awesome thread Cosimo, and good to see that others have done similar and can offer some wise words and encouragement. What you said about how you now feel about yourself is exactly what I want to achieve. Cheers. :)

Try water!

Really!

No way man, I drink buckets of water when at home (water and tea are all I drink) and I want to at least feel like I'm drinking something different when I go out!

However I did feel the caffeine, so will need to experiment with other drinks to see what I like that doesn't make me feel wired, heh. :)

I was a heavy drinker in my 20's and 30's mainly due to lifestyle, working away, odd work patterns etc.

I now have no more than one or two drinks a week and treat myself to a very good bottle of scotch once a year at Christmas, imbibed moderately.

I do enjoy a drink but I do not need to drink to socialise. Now it is just for the taste.

Good job op,

I'm 26 I gave up regular weekend **** ups around 4 years or so ago.

Go out most of the time sober, the odd time I drink like I will this xmas but I haven't touched alcohol at all this year.

You'll be healthier as a result and if you're carrying extra weight you find it'll shift because you won't be taking in those extra calories.

Add in some exercise for maximum effect.
