Thinking about buying a Time Capsule as I'd like to upgrade to a wireless-N router and most of my gear is Apple already.

However, I notice that there's a lot of negatives reviews on Apple's website complaining that Time Capsules have a habit of dying. Of course, someone with dead hardware is far more likely to post a review than someone with working hardware.

What are people's experiences on here? Any problems?

Had one since March and not had an issue with it. The Time Capsule is also covered under Apple Care for any other Mac product, so you should have three years cover on it if you've got Apple Care for a Laptop or Desktop.

The only niggle I have with it is the lack of a power switch.
I don't turn it off very often, but when you do so, you have to turn it off at the mains, so you obviously want to make sure it's doing nothing at the time.

My original was over three years old when it got zapped. There was a problem with some early ones and I believe a large chunk were recalled. It's not a problem any more.
