I hope they use a big chunk of modern computing on it and have graphics that are in the future of consumer gaming.

Yeah it was an edited version of one of the total wars.

Based on this show I bought a total war game....I was sadly disappointed to find I was stuck on a 16bit looking map for 80% of the time

Most of the best battles have been done, but I would be quite happy for them to do them again.

Oh god really! I can remember enjoying the very first series presented by some dour Scottish bloke with a dry sense of humour and a pair of over eager military historians. The thought of Hammond larking around on this, sends shivers up my spine.

Not sure I could ever watch it again though. The thought of 'civilians' playing strategy games is already making my jaw clench.
