time crisis 4 ps3

I got this game from the USA. The gun is a horrible orange colour. The game is good especily if you like old school on the rail shooters like my self

Anything more to say about it?

I was looking at this again last week, in an import store.
It's too late to order before Xmas now anyway, but was hoping somebody who actually owned the game would post something about it in here.

As has been said, I'd hate to spend the extra money on it, to find out it's carp.

How does the gun feel? How well does it work?
Graphics? I was a bit put off by the non-on-the-rails sections, as after all, that's exactly what Time Crisis is! Can it be controlled by the controller as well (not that I'd want to if I had the gun, but just interested, as the PS2 versions would allow you to control a crosshair with the controller)

More info, from a genuine user would be appreciated :)

V1N.

V1N from the reviews i have read its 2 different actual game-modes of the game. 2 games in effect.

1. Traditional style on-the-rails where you dont have to move about.

2. You move about in the game so giving a different play experience.

Ive only tried the arcade mode and not the fps mode yet.
The graphics are not anything special but they get the job done.
One thing ive noticed is that im a better shot with this gun compaired to using the other gcon guns but thats probably because of the way i calabirated it.
You can choose to install the game onto your hdd but it takes ages and I havent tested the load times since I installed it but they were pretty quick before I did so.
The gun feels quite comfy but cheap if you get what i mean.

I will try and get some pictures of my setup later when i get back from work.

The game is short. I havent completed arcade mode but it would probably take only 20 - 30 mins to complete then you have bonus games ect to unlock.

I just wish they sold the gun on its own so I could play 2 player with my mates but Ive heard that wont happen till the middle of next year.

It can be controled by the controler but I havent tested that out yet as I saiod I will try it when I get home from work tonight.

I missed this game and thread.... just see it up for grabs on the auction site, its £65 is it worth it as a game??? I like the gun :D

Anybody else got this game yet ? I picked it up the NTSC version for £35 (mint) a few weeks ago. My impressions : -

** Namco have nailed the LCD / Lightgun problem in my opinion - I was worried it would have similar accuracy to the Wii but its deffo better, perhaps not quite as accurate as the Gcon2 but pretty damn close. The sensors are small enough to go practically unnoticable too (and are designed nicely to fit any TV)

** I like the gun ! Find it quite comfy to use and who cares if its orange ! All the extra knobs and buttons on it will hopefully let developers give us more comapatable games in the future

** The game - the normal mode is great fun, typical Time Crisis (if you like this sort of thing of course) - some nice variety and Ive found the 'multiple screen battles' (where you can swing the gun in the direction you need to turn) to work really well. Graphics are nice but its a real shame to see slowdown occurring occasionaly.
Ive only played the FPS mode a few times - not too enthralled with but its got potential ! Nice addition anyhow, would rather have it than not.
The mini-games are a bit of a dissapointment - just hitting the round coloured targets a la one of the Point Blank levels. Maybe there are more to be unlocked though ? Saying that, its still a lot of fun trying to beat your high scores.

I'd give it an 8/10 for Light Gun fans. Ive got one of those LCD Topguns for my PS2 (& every Lightgun game available for the PS2) - its not been out its box since I got TC4. For anyone else with a LCD gun - rest assured that the new Gcon is much more accurate.

OFFTOPIC - also picked up Eye Of Judgement, only played it a couple of times but I HAVENT A CLUE what Im doing !! Never realised card based games could be so complicated. :)

I was going to import it but at the time the price and the negative reviews but me off.

Also I have wii light gun games i.e. ghost squad and umbrella and I hate seeing my cursor all the time, makes it feel too easy and therefore boring

So yeah do you see the cursor? Does it feel like timecrisis of old?

Exactly like Time Crisis of old (just a bit more dramatic - e.g theres a really cool level when you're in a helicopter toting a massively powerful machine gun that doesnt need reloading with some annoying guy constantly shouting at you "JUST KEEP YOUR FINGER ON THE TRIGGER")

No cursor on screen - though there is an option to turn this on if you like :)

If you import it you are commiting an offence unless it's an orange one and you're over 18 or you have a defence for buying Realistic Imitation Firearms I'm afraid :( This is if it is black and not bright orange, blue, green , pink! etc....

Its not very good imo.. but then i am left handed. I picked it up ages ago tried to sell it on here.. got offered silly prices so it went else where for a lot more ££

Worth a go.. but it wont bowl you over tbh

yeah i have this also good game but

gun should be bluetooth and not orange for gods sake!!!

the lcd trackers on the tv suck u need bluetac to even keep them in place

i bought mine from local game shop for 49.99 and since then only played it twice!!!

I'm unsure to keep my pre-order or not due to some comments. I've got it on order for £35 delivered - Worth keeping?

Thats some £20 cheaper than I can find it for to preorder (PAL version), I'd keep it at that price!

Edit- unless you mean £35 without the gun? In that case ditch it!
