Haven't played a game with a gun for ages. I do quite like games like this though.

Anyone played it - what did you think?

If there were other guncon games on the market or coming soon i would say yes just for the gun itself. However i'm fairly sure light-gun games at home are dying out, they're strictly an Arcade activity now for anything but the Wii and because of this i'm gonna say:

No, it isn't worth it.

Once its £30, it'll be worth a try. I used to be big fan of light gun games, had most of them for the ps1/ps2 and dreamcast. Good times.

Though the general ratings have it low.. The user reviews tend to go around 8 out of 10... So it cant be that bad...

GameFly Rating: 7.7
Based on 66 ratings.

I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl.. I use to love Time Crisis and one of my all time party favourites was..... ummmm forgotten the name now, but it had loads of bubbles and cutesy things to shoot up..

Never mind its on the tip of my tongue...

Get it, I say and at least there's someone on here to let the rest know if its any good.. always sell it on ebay once you're bored... Besides I think you have kids don't you? They'll undoubtedly love it.. Kids love shooting things up..

I played it in a shop for a while.
The pluses are:
Its lovely to look at and nice and smooth.
Looked to have a few game modes

Bad points are :
The gun is rubbish, feels cheap, small and no force feedback.
Uses the wii sensor idea. Its more like a normal light gun but its still not direct aiming.
Price is outrageous.

Point Blank? Would love to see a PS3 version of that. Saw TC4 in Woolworths for £45, was very tempted, but will wait and see if other games come out for the Gcon.

Maybe I will give it a miss for a while, or at least until it drops in price a bit. Not really suitable for the kids as ones 18 and has his own PS3 and the other is a 4 year old girl... not quite what I want her to be playing with.
