Afternoon all,
I've had my current build for around 7 years, an i7 4770k, 32GB RAM, RTX2060 etc., which I'm going to keep and shoehorn into a smaller case that its current CM Storm Trooper (be quiet PB 500).
I'll mostly be using the new rig for P3D v5, with a whole bunch of addon sceneries, weather engines, and study level aircraft, and ideally I want to get smooth frame rates while on ultra settings at 1440p on a 34" widescreen. I also want it to be able to last at least 5 years without needing to upgrade, so running MSFS at higher settings in the future once MSFS is up to a good standard. I'll also be using it for running various numbers of VMs, too.
My budget is ~£5k
So, the build, is:
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Although I'm trying to find out if I can swap the 5800X for a 5900X at the moment.
It should still be within budget, just, with a 5900X, and should have no issues running current games at ultra with a decent frame rate, I'm just wondering if there's anything I've missed or anything that I should consider before I push the button?
