I think its finally time to get rid of the 640d and its for a rubbish / very important reason. I've managed to get by with the small boot opening for so long but my new golf trolley (oh yes 1st world problems) won't fit in and it ends up going on the front seat which is far from ideal. For family days out we use the wife's SQ5 but that's no use to me when she's out in it. Also she has no interesting in sharing but that would be a bit of a faff anyways. So onwards and upwards I hope. The 640 has been a dream to drive but I must admit I do like the looks of the 3/5 Touring's (think of the amount of golf equipment I could get in one of those 
).
Currently I'm doing around 20k a year and am very much a BMW fan so would like to stay in that realm. What options are going to be most economically for me. I had a whizz round in a 330e over the weekend from my local BMW dealer and that seems like a really nice car but I'm not sure if it would be beneficial on the mileage I'm doing. We have a 4 year old and like to do family holidays etc so boot space is going to be a priority outside of the golf equipment.
Budget wise I'm looking at around £30k but would go a little higher if something took my fancy.
