I currently have a Titan Fenrir that has served me well for 5 years. My 2500k is running at 4.4ghz hitting 80c in IBT. I want to uo to 4.6ghz as this is what i used to have when i had a custom waterloop )which i subsequently ditched as it was more hassle than i could be bothered with. I know its only 0.2ghz, however even at 4.4ghz its running a bit hot for my liking.

My question is, would i see a significant difference in temp if i changed my trusty Titan Fenrir of one of the newer monster coolers eg Notuca14, SilverArrow?

My 2500k can hit 4.7Ghz only reaching 72C (MAX) on IBT using the Noctua D14...

Its an awesome cooler. :)

Only hits 60C on prime. :)

What case/motherboard./ram do you have?

I have a Gigabyte UD4, Samsung Green Ram, and Haf-X. I know my temps are pretty high as i have quite a few volts running as its always needed more than most for some reason. Cant quote my volts as im not at my PC, but its pretty high. I could hit 5ghz on my custom water loop, but that was with mental volts!

The H110 looks pretty good?

The h100/h110's are very good. They cost a pretty penny but if you can afford it they are well worth it, no where near as good as a custom loop but as close as you can get..

What volts are you putting through it at the moment?

Im putting 1.34 through mine a 4.7 which im quite happy with.

As i said i cant quote my volts as im not at my PC, but i think its about 1.34 for 4.4Ghz, and up to 1.4 for 4.6Ghz

sorry must have skimmed over that part. :)

(its still early).

When you get home have a play with your VVT, i've noticed that raising that a bit (0.1 incriments) means i have to use less Vcore..
