been looking into changing cases and I have decided on the NZXT H440 case in black and blue.

Do I need to buy a new set of fans before I transfer everything across?

So far I have a thermaltake v21 but since making an alcove in by bedroom wall or a ne setup this is going to be far to big I think.

My current case has a 240mm fan on the front (I’m sure) and also I have a Corsair H45 Liquid cooler is this transferable?

Just looking for advice as tips as I know what roughly what to do
(what everything is and where I gets plugged into)
but never done this before, also should I get a anti static strap/mat before doing this.
Any help would be great

Almost all case fans conform to the same sizes.

commonly 120mm or 140mm but many other sizes are available.

The NZXT can fit 3x 120mm(or 2x 140mm) on the top with 3x 120mm(or 2x 140mm) on the front with a 140mm or 120mm on the rear.

Your H45 will fit in almost any "gaming" case and will fit in a h440 with ease.

As for the 240mm fan that sounds like a big one just for that case so wont fit many/any others.

so are these standard fans that come built into the case and just require powered up?
I have looked at my v21 and the 240mm fan is built into the front panel, so if I sell it on it can go to that person.
do you use a anti static wristband when in amongst your setup?
Also looking at coloured sata/power cables but there seems to be a big market for them, is there a "go to" place for things like that

I get bitfenix alchemy cables from overclockers for the coloured cables. There are also kits around on popular auction sites if you fancy trying to braid your own.
Yes the fans on the case will just require power. I built a system into a H440 today (albiet the razer colour variant) and that came with 3x 120mm intake fans at the front fitted already and one 140mm rear exhaust fitted.
The fans that come with this case are just standard sizes and connections and can be moved around to suit your needs.
The h440 comes with a 7?(iirc) fan splitter so you only need to plug one wire into a motherboard header(and one molex for the splitter) and it will power up to 7 case fans.

Thank you I will look them up, see if I can get some blue ones. Ok so that sounds good then I didn’t see the splitter in the pictures on the site. That will be handy as I have a 1x 3.5 SSD and 2 x 2.5 HDD plus NZXT Hue+ to be plugged in.
So In regards to my H45 liquid cooler would it be ok to leave everything attached or would it be better completely dismantling everything and Having a fresh start? I take it the cpu will be thermal pasted In? And for the 120mm fan on it, is there another space or do I remove one of the stick ones?

What’s with all the different “series” of the alchemy cables are they only suited to certain PSU? I be a EVGA500w psu.
