Well it seems as though something has died inside my current system (listed in sig) the screen wont display anything on boot and when it does it has colour blotching and the computer restarts which probably indicates graphics problems or motherbaord problems.

I am looking to build and brand new system for gaming and this is what i have come up! I cant seem to figure out how to add this to the thread like some of you guys have so i have copy and pasted it from my basket.

Sapphire HD 7970 OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £399.95
Asus P8Z77-V DELUXE Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £199.99
Corsair Professional Series AX750 High Performance 750W Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply (CMPSU-750AXUK) £129.98
BitFenix Shinobi USB3.0 Gaming Case - Black £49.99
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) £39.95

Plus i will be dropping an Ivy i5-3570K when they are avaliable.

I will be using my 24" Dell Monitor @ 1920 x 1080 and Crucial M4 128Gb as a primary drive with two Samsung F3's as backup.

What do you guys reckon about my intended build?

There's a google chrome extension available somewhere on the forums to copy and paste baskets nicely if that's what you're looking for.

Looks okay. Few things I'd change,

Unless you need the features a cheaper board would be fine

An XFX 850W XXX PSU is cheaper and very good :)

EDIT: see Oliver's sig for links to the basket thing, there's one for all browsers now which doesn't require you to install anything:

Well my justification behind those two components was that I have always had Asus boards and they have been great and also I wanted the Wireless card that came integrated with that board.

With regard to the PSU I noticed a lot of people recommending the XFX but I am under the impression that Corsair make the best quality PSU's on the market??

Ahhh thanks for the link to that. It doesn't work on my work computer but no doubt it will at home.

Fair enough! Well XFX/Corsair/OCZ/Antec etc... are all very good PSUs. Here's a review of that 850W XFX so you can decide :)

(Its the same as this one, just relabelled and no green fan :p)

Cheers for that much appreciated! Also looks like a great PSU! At the end of the day I think either choice would be a good one!

In my sig, you have a bookmarket, which works the same but should work with any browser and don't require installs (it's a shortcut converted into a javascript).

Thanks for this unfortunately the thing doesn't drag into my bookmarks which is annoying.

I completely agree, both very good PSUs. The choice is yours! :)

Will be a nice upgrade, post some pics when you get it and remember new deals tomorrow

I know I cant wait!!

Very much looking forward to a visually modded skyrim session on this new thing!!

I just hope the Ivy Bridge CPU's aren't too much of a let down!

One last question and I DO NOT want to start a huge fanboy argument, but for the price do you think the 7970 is the better choice over the 680GTX for bang for buck performance? Especially as I am now eyeing up the Gigabyte Overclocked version which I can get for a very good price!
