Been looking at headsets for a few months now as my old Sennheiser's mic died a death about 18 months ago and I have been using a webcam mic just to get by but the GF has kindly offered to replace my headset for me (stating she will never understand me spending this amount on my pc but I do and get enjoyment from it so why not)

I was looking at the Sennheiser 360 SE http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-071-SN&groupid=702&catid=1058&subcat=1719 which is £170

but have seen the Asus Xonar Xense Sound Card + Sennheiser PC 350 Xense Edition Headset http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-010-AS at £190

Any idea's which is better? or any alternatives?

Xense bundle, no question about it. Fantastic sound card and a headset that is probably not a lot different from the PC350SE. The Xense is not far off being the same sound card as the Essence, just with 5.1 analogue output, rather than stereo. So you're getting a £140 sound card and a headset that used to sell for around £110, for £190.

The PC350SE is a ludicrous price in my opinion. The difference between the 350 and the 350SE is not enough to justify what is really a massive price difference. If you ask me, it shows how overpriced these headsets are.
