Hi to all of you,
at the moment i have a "hanns.g" HW191D monitor and in all honesty its a good monitor. I have it running on a 8800gts 320mb and 99% of the media i play through it looks great.
Only problem is older games that dont support 1440/900, and the time will come when even the 8800 cant run native res without a performance hit.
So i was was thinking about selling my hanns.g whilst its still quite new and getting myself a "Dell E207WFP 20" widescreen monitor, so i would like to know a few things from users out there....
1, comparing the dell to the hanns.g the E207WFP would be an increase in quality, i mean build quality and how the monitor display's the picture?
2, I've done a little looking into the subject but has the E207WFP got hardware 1:1 pixel mapping, so i can run older software in its native aspect ratio?, this is a "must" have imho
by the way i only suggested the dell because i dont really know all the in's and outs of the various makes, i would be happy to consider other makes/models for around the same price,
perhaps a "Samsung SM-206BW 20" will do the job's i want?
and lastly, thx to everyone for having a look
