Time for a new mouse

Hi

I am looking to get a new mouse.

It's a toss up between the Razer Copperhead & the Logitech G5.

I would like to see/try one before I buy, but they don't stock either of them in PCW or my local PC shops, so I can't really do that.

I have looked at some photos and read reviews, but is is difficult to establish how big these mice are. Some of the mice around are quite big and I have small hands, so a large mouse would be uncomfortable.

Are there any store chains that stock these so that I can have a look ?

Can anyone give an idea of the size of these mice, perhaps in relation to the type they would have in PCW, for comparison ?

Cheers

Um, you might want to edit out the competitor name before you get in trouble.

As for the try before you buy problem, I'm in the same boat. But as you can't mention competitors to OcUK its pretty hard for people to reccomend somewhere unless you live near Stoke. The next time I'm in that region won't be until March though. :(

PK!

The G5 is roughly the same sort of size as a Intellimouse V3 but a little bit higher in the centre or at least the G7 is which is basically the same mouse but wireless and discontinued unfortunately.

You don't have your location there but I'd be surprised if some of the larger electronics chains don't have at least one of those mice on display.

I don't intend buying the mouse from a local store, so I hope that I am not thought to be advertising competitors. They are cheaper online and am quite happy to buy one from OcUK, I just need to decide which one would suit me the best, ideally by looking at them locally first.

I don't want to mention store names here but, I have been to the major PC retailer and all the main electronics stores. I have seen a MX518 in a a box, not on display and that was it. I think they cater for the mainstream application users and not the gamers.

The MX518, though it was still in the box seemed to be ok. Is the G5 a similar size/shape to this one ?

Has anyone used the Razer Copperhead, to compare the size to the G5 or MX518 ?

Cheers

I'll second this. I work from home so I spend roughly 16 hours a day on my computer and the G9 is comfortable right from the first to the last hour of use.

I'll third that.

But as he's trying to decide between a Razer Copperhead & the Logitech G5 it doesnt help him much, nor do we know if we all have the same size hands. :)
