Hi peoples

I was wondering if someone could shoot me some advice.

my current pc shuts down after 45 minutes or so of gaming.
I know this normally points to the psu, (all my components, mobo, cpu, memory are only 12 months old).
the psu is around 6 years old, yeah I know.

Voltages though are as follows -
3.3046
12.024
5.16

just looking at my temperatures, its looking way hot in that case of mine

System is 42c
CPU 37

I'm maybe thinking this might be a case of overheating than an issue with my psu

Do I need to fork out some cash?

Your temps are just warm not "way hot". Temps in the 90's is way hot!! Reading voltages by software is in no way accurate and the only way to truly tell is by using a multimeter. As I replied in your other thread, it would help if you told us the full specification of your systme including make and model of the psu.

yeah apologies for the double threads, I had other ideas and thought it might not be the psu.
I will keep the posts to the other thread, as its more a generic question and i dont think its going to be an easy answer :D

if its a carp [see what a did there] psu then its worth just changing for the hell of it. too many people have cheap psus. i was watching on youtube some guys bulding a post production rig.

he spent close to 2 grand on the machine and buys a cheap no name 600w psu.
