time for a new rig

hello everyone, ive not posted much on here but read lots and now im trying to go for a new build if poss, id like some help on what stuff to go for.
Im bit confused with what motherboreds to go for with the best overclocking possabilities.

for example say i got a budget of 5-600 quid.
Id like a quad core, im thinking the 6600 as ive read thats good at OC. motherbored not sure *** to use with it.

A good set of cooling for it, and the rest as usuall decent nvidia gfx card and ram the case would be easy to find and the rest id fill with my old machine, so if poss can i get some input of *** you all would get if it was up to u. idealy i will be using this for games.

Do you need a full system or only the tower?

Tower only (cba to do full system atm):

There is no point in getting a Q6600 just for playing games as not amny are multithreaded, a dual core which can be overclocked more than a quad is better for these situations.

yeah just a tower only. will there be any games that will use the multithreaded in the near future

The above spec looks ok although personally I wouldnt count out quad altogether

I wouldnt say there will be any until next year, thats only my opinion though.
