Hello all,

It's been about 10k since Dad and I last serviced it last year, and at the time the air filter appeared brand new in it - but replaced it anyway!, we also replaced the spark plugs, changed the fuel and oil filter, replaced the oil. Can't remember what else off the top of my head.

Anyway, do you guys think it should be serviced again now? the car is at 79k at the minute, I'm wandering if it's worth speaking to Saab to see if there is a 75k service or 80k service or something...or if the "standards" should just be done?

Not sure if the cambelt has ever been done either - so I'll get that done in May when it has some other bit's and pieces done to it.

Thanks all :)

I'd just do an oil, oil filter, airfilter and coolant change since you did so much last year. Have a look around to see if anything else looks tired or worn though. Just visually inspect the cambelt, if its done 80k miles without a change, it will look pretty worn.

Ok cool, Dad's got a chain on his Range Rover, any ideas if it's possible to get one for other car brands? and if possible for Saabs? it'll be good to have to I never have to worry about it.

Thanks for the info though :) Will get some bits ordered tonight!
