Hi all, I've had my current spec for pretty much 6 years to this month and I'm afraid it's starting to show it's age in the modern day
despite a couple of small upgrades. I've not really kept up to speed with all the hardware comings & goings over the last few years so looking for some help.
The current spec is below, ideally i think I'm looking for a CPU, Mobo & RAM upgrade and i think i may quite possibly need a new PSU as my current one doesn't have the correct pins for the newer boards (only has a 24 pin & 4 pin connector). The gfx card can be upgraded later in the year when I've got some more cash.
Not bothered about SLI/Crossfire so don't really need a board that'll support either.
Not adverse to overclocking as I've had plenty of "fun" with that over the years
For the CPU i was thinking either a Intel 4670k if i wanted to go overclocking or the cheaper but none overclocked route of a Intel 4570.
I don't mind going for older chips if the Haswell ones don't offer much improvement. What would people recommend me looking at Looking to spend around £400 no more than £500 i think. Cheaper the better
