So, its been a while since I upgraded. I think its been a good 2yrs. Actually truth be told, i've sort of lost interest in gaming and that really has caused me to lose interest to be on the latest spec'd machine..

I have a couple of machines. Both 2600k's with a 7950's, 8GB ram and SSD.

However from what I'm gathering, things haven't really moved too far from what I've already got.. Not unless you're spending big bucks at least.

However my two boys, 8 & 9, are right little PC gamers ! So i said to myself, well they can both have my existing machines, and i'll just build myself another..

Though i say I've lost interest, i still do like to get a good spec'd machine. Actually I bought Grid autosport last week, and have 'actually' been playing a game !!!! lol I will also buy GTA V in Jan.... So i want something that's at least as powerful as what I'm giving away.

What GPU's should I be looking at? a 970 ? or one of these R9 290's ? I'm not going crazy, and spending big bucks on a 980 Titan, so don't go there. On the other hand, I'd like to at least see an upgrade to a machine i built two yrs ago.
