time for an upgrade?

i currently have an AMD XP2800 BARTON CPU

Would it be worth upgrading my CPU yet for the games of the future?

Im already going to upgrade my graphics card to a 7900GTX, should the CPU get an upgrade too?

you will have to, as no motherboard supports pci-e that also supports your cpu.

im not looking to spend LOADS on the processor, but isa should still be decent, my main upgrade will be my graphics card

Dont go spending £400 on a graphics card then £80 on the processor as the processor will very likely bottleneck it. You should try and even out the costs, like£200 on cpu, £300 on graphics. If this isnt really a problem though, my advice would be get an AMD X2 3800 or an Opteron 165/170. They seem to be the best bang for buck going just now.
