Hey guys,

I'm currently running:
Gainward BLISS GeForce 6800 GS Goes Like Hell 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out VGA + DVI PCI-E
Asus P5Q-E Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.16GHz (1333FSB) - Retail

Over the past couple of months I've noticed during gaming (WoW mainly - yeh yeh :o) that the on screen gfx starts to get spikey and laggy, then drops out all together with a pop-up from Vista x64 taskbar stating that the gfx driver has stopped working. The problem then seems to fix itself for an hour or so until the same error occurs.

Ive did all the basic stuff like cleaned the card, checked the bios to make sure onboard is disabled....help.

Does this sound familiar to anyone, or does it sound like I need to upgrade?
Any suggestions for an upgrade....less than £150 or as cheap as poss.....thanks.

Go for a 4890, the xfx version is on offer atm on OcUK and fits into your price range nicely.

Performs better than the 5770 too.

Spend a tenner more and you get Sapphire Vapor-X, a better cooling solution than reference models. You're an old-school gamer thus won't need any features DirectX 11 provides, I think ;)
