time for an upgrade

I think you should go for an iPhone 4 its new and unique, features are excellent and is best among smartphones. There are also, many useful applications available which can enhance its appeal afterwards.:)

I went for the HTC Desire yesterday. I'm not convinced that the iphone4 is twice as good as the Desire yet the cost over 2 years is twice as high.

Haven't received it yet, Vodafone should be delivering tomorrow but I feel as if I've made the right choice.

Contract on Voda I went for is £25 per month, 600 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb data usage.

Wait for the Desire HD it will be the best smart phone once it is out next month

if you like fisherprice and toys4us get an iphone, if you wanna a phone and do what you want with YOUR handset get an android :)

Sorry but whaa? iPhone prices are utterly mental for what you get as opposed to competition using Android. You'd have to be nuts to settle for an iPhone in todays market.

Exactly what I was thinking. What's new and unique about an iPhone 4?

You'll enjoy it, I recently got mine on a similar plan. Haven't put it down since I got it.

I've used an iPhone 3G quite a bit, as well as an Touch, and I prefer the interface and features of Android a lot more.

There are currently no phones 'better' than the iPhone 4, just ones that are different (and cheaper :p).

The Desire HD is probably going to be better value when released though, just when that will be isn't confirmed yet however.

You wouldn't have to be nuts, you would just need it for something specific that only the iPhone can do (ie. MobileMe integration for business between other devices possibly, as a bad example), or you want the extra storage built in without having to get a 32GB SD Card, or the superior app selection.

When you factor in the price of a 32GB decent SD Card with the Desire HD for example, the iPhone isn't priced that badly, however it is still too expensive in my opinion.

But then again, people are happily paying that, so why lower the price? :p

The SD card purchase is a one off cost though (until its replaced by a new format) iPhone owners need to buy the most expensive model every time...

Trends change too, apple tax will fall to normal levels for the iPhone eventually. :)

That is true, but it does hold its price much better if and when they sell it on.
