It time for the routine upgrade, the last one was early 2011, I'm looking to spend about £1000 and spend the right money in the main areas as I'm going to be using it for gaming.

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to get all the parts for it at once, as i don't want to skint me self.

This what I'm currently running.

I dont think it really warranted upgrading from a 2500k. They are solid units with plenty of punch when overclocked. Your best bet would have been to get a new CPU cooler, GPU and if you don't already have one, an SSD.

The gains in upgrading wouldn't really be worth it untill the next die shrink or even 16nm. You're looking at less than 15% improvement going from Sandybridge to Devils Canyon, less with Haswell.

Still nice build :)

Yea, thanks everyone for the feedback so far. There is still quite a way to go and there might be changes along the way, I'll see what happens and see what deals pop up on the Overclockers web site.
Thanks again.

Ok guys here's an update of sorts, and some of my thoughts to what I might do.
So I've been talking with a few friends seeing about what the best thing to do is, and what I'd like to do is wait it out and save up a whole load of money for the a high end 800 series card (at a guess the 880) and the new Intel chip (what ever the new numbering system is high end i5), because from what I have read the board i have will take the new chip.
Now I know I am going to be waiting a while for these new parts to come out, and its not like I'm in need right here right now because the pc I have is doing good and running me games pretty well considering I built it in 2011.
But yea that's what I'm thinking atm.
Any thoughs and feedback would be great, thanks for reading.

But then another thing came into my mind, how about i make a custom water cooling loop. It'll be a first try at a custom loop, I've got allot of time and by then allot of money saved up.
It's defiantly something I'm going to look into and will post some idea pics of layout and thing like that when I have done some research.

Any thoughts and feedback would be great.
Thanks for reading.

So here is what I've been able to wip up.
I just went into paint and did a basic layout of the loop and also showing the direction off flow, I'm now going to look into pricing this up and I will show you my findings.
In fact a question, Whos blocks and fitting do people recommend to use? Any help would be great, thanks for reading.
