Time for an upgrade

I'm having a couple of stability issues with my current rig, which has been going for a while on the strength of 'well, it's just about ok for what I'm doing with it, and if I wait a little longer then x will be out and it'll be a better buy'. But obviously if you keep it like that then you just never end up upgrading. So I'm looking at finally pushing the boat out. My current rig:

Phenom II x6 1055T @ 3.5Ghz
Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H mobo
OcUK H2Flo cpu cooler
2x4Gb DDR3 ram (Gskill ripjaw 10666 C9)
AMD 6870X2 2Gb graphics
OCZ StealthXStream 2 700W PSU

Usage wise, it's lots of gaming, recording, encoding video and ideally some live streaming as well.
Ideally I would stick with an AMD rig, but honestly while I have some principles, they are easily bought, so if there's a better option for the same price then I don't mind grabbing an Intel or Nvidia part.

Getting something fairly future proof, or at the very least powerful enough to last a good few years is important, this 1055T has lasted me just over 4 years now, so I've certainly gotten my worth out of it.

Finally, budget wise I would be looking at around £600 tops, but can spend a little more if it's going to be a significant upgrade for a little more cash. I'll be keeping all my monitors, peripherals and so on, there's no PCI cards or anything like that to worry about.
Thanks!

I have included a new cpu cooler as you may not have the correct brackets for the socket, also included is a new GPU and faster memory.

You should be fine with the current PSU.

Thanks for the fast reply RJC!

Do you think it would be worth splashing out more to get up to a 280X or even a 290? My monitors are only 1920x1200 and 1920x1080, so I don't do any eyefinity/multimonitor gaming, it's all just contained in the one monitor, so would the 280 be able to handle everything I throw at it at 1920x1200? And how would it stand if I did upgrade my monitors to something larger?

Cheers.

Sorry for the double post, but just looking at the ram, I saw there are a couple of other TeamGroup sticks on This Week Only.

For £2 more there are these 2400Mhz sticks

And for the same £2 there is this even faster 2666Mhz pair.

Now, I don't know very much about RAM, but given there are three different sticks that are basically the same price, is there any reason I shouldn't pick the fastest pair? I know there's something to do with the CAS timings, but I have no idea how important this are in comparison to the actual pure Mhz speed.
Would it be worth grabbing the fastest sticks out of those three?
Thanks!

Edit: Or swap out the GPU and RAM and go for This R9 290 which comes with 8Gb of ram as is, for an extra £80. Decisions!

I would go for the 290 with the free ram as it gives you the extra power for 1200p and bonus free ram.
