Time for an upgrade!

Hi,

Just looking for some advise on some upgrades! Current PC is pretty old now and is due a well needed upgrade
Current specs
AMD phenom 955
MSI Radeon R9 280X
Corsair XMS3 8GB
Saphire pure 625w

Haven't got a massive budget, but around the 500 mark don't need a case, monitor, mouse, keyboard or a HD not really sure if the GFX needs upgrading either but let me know what you think

would also like a sound card if it is needed. mobo may have a decent one already on-board.

Got an SSD? included one anyway and good cpu cooler to overclock.

Presume your ram is DDR3 which you can reuse.. Whatt sort of hard drive you need ?

Sell it with your other bits, your gpu is good and will handle 1080p a dedicated sound card is far superior than onboard sound.

Make sure the cooler fits your case and get overclocking.

I have a Cooler Master CM-690 II Lite Windowed Gaming Tower Case - Black

and a titan fenrir currently which fits just about?

If you are buying ram as well I would wait for Skylake which is only 2-3 weeks away.
