Guys

Here is what I have at the moment:

NZXT Phantom case
OCZ ZX850 PSU (Lost the spare PCI-E cables so if going SLI will need new PSU)
ASUS Sabretooth Z77
i5 2500K processor turbos at 4.3Ghz with corsair H75 Cooler
16Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3
120Gb Old M4 SSD
1Tb Western digital
OcUK GTX 980ti
Acer XB280HK 28' monitor

Now I was thinking of going down the SLI route and getting another 980ti but I will need to replace PSU as cannot find any spare PCI-E cables. A change of MOBO would also be on the cards as this one does not have 2 x 16X(Gen 3) PCI-E slots.

Change of MOBO would also then require a change of processor...the list goes on.

Any suggestions ?

Mostly used for Gaming.

Would probably have around the 2k mark to spend so would need to get it right this time or the Mrs will probably kill me :)

Id have got win 8.1, you may have to enable Legacy BIOS Mode

quote...
Many computers with UEFI firmware will allow you to enable a legacy BIOS compatibility mode. In this mode, the UEFI firmware functions as a standard BIOS instead of UEFI firmware. This can help improve compatibility with older operating systems that weren’t designed with UEFI in mind — Windows 7, for example.

Not too bothered as I will use the free upgrade to windows 10. I am sure I am using UEFI on my setup just now with Win 7.1 (sabertooth z77) may be wrong though :)

Other than that though does this setup look ok......to last me a few years anyway !!

Personally if it was me, I'd look at dropping a 2700K or 3770K in there if you are looking to SLI in the future. Maybe stick a wanted ad up for a pci-e cable and save a bit of wallet on buying a new psu?
